The best way to understand the effect of their changes is to drive a 2010 and then a 2011. They increased its fuel capacity from 3.3 to 4.5 gallons. The front and rear wheel sizes were reconfigured from 19 front/16 rear to 18 front/17 rear. This makes for superior dynamics in riding and a much better handling motorcycle. A beginner will find this 2011 XL883L much friendlier. A more advanced rider will enjoy its crisper responsiveness. This is a stock Sportster. Its color is Merlot Sunglo/Vivid Black. The news caps off an important quarter for Harley-Davidson that included the company’s 110th anniversary celebrations and the launch of its 2014 lineup including the new Twin-Cooled engines and Project Rushmore enhancements.
AMA Pro Racing Announces Preliminary 2013 Road Racing Schedule

Next season will again see four classes of racing: AMA Pro National Guard Superbike, AMA Pro GoPro Daytona Sportbike, AMA Pro Motorcycle-Superstore.com SuperSport, and the AMA Pro Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson series which returns under its new name.
