2011 Harley-Davidson® Sportster® Forty-Eight™ XL1200X is one of the garage custom motorcycles in the Harley Dark Custom™ line. This bike cruises down the road with a 1,200 cc Evolution® engine – an engine with a true Harley-Davidson soul. The Forty-Eight also has an authentic peanut tank which first appeared on Harley-Davidson back in 1948 (its name origin) and has been a defining Sportster feature ever since. The front end of the bike looks beefy with its fat MT90 tire. This Harley Sportster Forty-Eight is enhanced with the lowered front and rear suspension. Add a low seat height, and you have a serious looking motorcycle with an approachable riding stance. Take some time and look over the features of this Harley Dark Custom, including the unique under-mount motorcycle mirrors. This bike has a very low 6150 miles and is in great shape and needs nothing. The engine runs smooth and the transmission shifts effortlessly, The tires are in good shape and overall quality is excellent. This bike has a few light rust spots on some of the chrome accessories but once again overall is in great shape. Rare Harley-Davidson Motorcycles and Memorabilia Up for Auction
Tue, 24 Jun 2014More than 500 rare Harley-Davidson motorcycles and collector’s items will be hitting the auction block on June 28. The items belong to Ron Shreffler, former owner of a Harley-Davidson dealership in Manteno, Ill. The retired Shreffler once had plans to open a Harley-Davidson museum but has now decided to auction off his collection gathered from 48 years in the industry.
Legends Ride Stops Sturgis Traffic

Hundreds of bikes thundered through the Black Hills toward Sturgis on Monday afternoon, creating a cacophony not heard in these parts since, well, last year. The sixth annual Legends Ride draws thousands of riders, spectators and celebrities to the historic city of Deadwood, South Dakota each year on a charitable pilgrimage to the Buffalo Chip Campground, and organizers said Monday’s edition was likely the largest ever.
New 2012 Harley-Davidson Models Named in CARB Documents
Mon, 20 Jun 2011Documents released by the California Air Resources Board reveal two new models from Harley-Davidson’s 2012 lineup: a 10th anniversary edition V-Rod and a new member of the Dyna family. The CARB documents list motorcycles that have received approval for the state of California. The Motor Company has received approval for several 2012 models including the 2012 Harley-Davidson Night Rod Special Anniversary and the 2012 Harley-Davidson Switchback.
