Harley-Davidson Sportster description
I've had the bike for about 8-9 years and just don't ride as much as I should and really need a plow truck more than this right now....that is the only reason I am selling. Sounds like an old school Harley. Check out a video of it running at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lk6sNYNblKY&feature=youtube_gdata_player ...really is a great bike for a fair price...and it is ready to roll. I'll answer any questions you may have...just email me!

EBR Nation Part 3: Made In America
Wed, 10 Aug 2011Erik Buell Racing has released the third episode of its series about the new 1190RS sportbike. The latest episode focuses on the company’s “Made in America” philosophy, with its goal of producing a high-performance superbike in the U.S.A. As Erik Buell, racer Geoff May and designer Tony Stefanelli discuss the themes of innovation and freedom, we can’t help but wonder however whether they’re talking about American ideals, or about being out from Harley-Davidson’s umbrella.
35 years ago this month
Fri, 28 May 2010IT'S 35 YEARS since Evel Knievel attempted to jump 13 London buses at Wembley Stadium. Riding a heavy, slow Harley-Davidson XR750, the American daredevil had serious reservations about the jump, admitting the take-off ramp was too short, therefore limiting the bike's speed. But even though the plucky American knew his chances of pulling off the stunt were slim, he was reluctant to disappoint the 80,000-strong Wembley crowd.
