It is much easier to clean than chrome and gives the bike its dark custom look. Next on this list was to get rid of the stock paint. Lets face it....anyone can ride around on a stock bike. The paint on this bike is a vivid black base coat with a flat grey accent panel as well as shadowed lines and a bold orange #1 to let everyone else who sees your bike know that its the best. Harley has a long standing tradition of using the #1 logo so we felt it only appropriate to use it on this one of a kind bike. To match the orange in the paint, we had the wheels coated with a candy orange to give it a distinguished look....all while not being too much. The stance of this bike is one of the first things that draws you to it. Harley Declares Women Riders Month
Tue, 10 Feb 2009Back in July of ’08 Motorcycle.com announced that The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum and Nationwide Insurance were working together to mark July as Women’s Motorcycle Month in order to honor the contribution made to history by female riders. This May, Harley-Davidson is staging a series of events in order to celebrate women on two wheels by declaring May, “Women Riders Month.” Some of the Harley-Davidson Women Riders Month initiatives will include special rides in New York City and Milwaukee as well as an attempt to grace the pages of the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest number of women motorcycle riders trained in one weekend. Harley-Davidson dealerships will also be hosting women-only Garage Parties, which consist of informal meetings in an unintimidating environment where women can learn about motorcycling.
Harley-Davidson Breakout Recall Caused by Fuel Tank Angle
Fri, 25 Apr 2014An official recall announcement by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration sheds some light on the cause of a recall campaign on 2013-2014 Harley-Davidson Breakout and CVO Breakout models. We wrote about the recall last week, after campaigns were initiated in Canada and Australia to address a problem with the fuel sensors not properly reading the correct volume of fuel. We now know the problem is caused by the angle of the fuel tank.
