Motorcycle Thefts Down 11.2% in 2010

Motorcycle thefts in the U.S. are down for the fourth consecutive year in 2010,  according to a report from the National Insurance Crime Bureau. There were 49,791 reported motorcycle thefts in 2010, an 11.2% drop from the 56,093 thefts reported in 2009.

Watching the promo videos that Harley-Davidson puts out does get me pumped.  Harley does however really seem to reinforce the stereotype of a typical Harley rider, I’m not sure if I am cool enough but the new Sportster Forty-Eight looks great!  Harley could use some positive feedback after they announced their Q4 results… Get the Flash Player to see this player. Today (August 16) it's exactly 35 years since Elvis died (or didn't, depending on your beliefs on the matter) so we thought we'd mark the moment with this – Elvis Presley's own 1956 Harley-Davidson. Elvis is so inextricably linked to Harleys that he's even become subject of an endlessly-circulating internet myth. You know, the one where a guy finds an old Harley for a few bucks, starts to restore it and discovers an 'Elvis' inscription under the seat.
