Harley-Davidson Softail description

Hi,

Selling my 98 EVO Custom Softail.  Real Simple listing and reason.  I ride with the Vietnam Vets MC..May 27th my wife had a stroke.  Just don't have it in me to ride anymore. Selling this bike then probably my Heritage.  Somebody is going to get a nice, ride. Just make sure you have ear plugs.

I may leave out something but here are some features of the bike.

1. Custom Paint w/ Gold Flake writing.
2  Stretched Fuel Cell
3. Flush Aircraft type fuel doors
4. Drag Bars
5. Custom Mirrors
6. Adjustable Passenger Footpegs
7. S&S Big "E" Carb
8. EV27 Camshaft
9. Custom HD Wheels
10. Vintage Authentic HD Saddle Bags
11. Rear Tire has less than 50 miles on it.
12. Front Tire has lots of tread left.
13. Martin Brothers Daisy Cutter Pipes

Whats wrong....

1. Cap missing off end of left side Hand grip.
2. Knob missing off choke plunger on S&S
3. Speedometer is "spiderwebbed"..still works ..just hard to read in the lower area.

Have never left me anywhere.  The Bike had 19k and some change when I bought it.  All the miles I put on this bike were to Chapter meetings between Oak Hill, Ohio and Chillicothe Ohio...one run from Oak Hill, Ohio to Springfield, Indiana and one run from Oak Hill, Ohio to Jasper Indiana, and two runs from Oak Hill, Ohio to Jamestown, Ohio.

Somebody is going to get a nice bike. It bothers me to look at it anymore. I have it on a trickle charger and go out to garage and start it about twice a week.

It was last serviced with All Synthetic lubes, at 25,000 at Baxter's Harley Davidson in Bidwell, Ohio, and bike now has 26k and some change.

Walberg talks with vintage toy expert Noel Barrett about various American-made, antique, cast iron motorcycle toys. Barrett shares the history of these early toys, some tips about how one might tell a reproduction from the real thing, and offers his valuation on several highlighted examples. Walberg also takes a ride on a vintage Harley-Davidson Servi-Car.

Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight and Roller Derby? [Video]

Thu, 10 Jun 2010

Canadian publication Cycle Canada had some fun on a photoshoot for its review of the Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight for the July issue. As Pete wrote in our own review, the Harley-Davidson Sportster Forty-Eight has a rugged, bobber-inspired look with its chopped fender, chubby front tire and underslung mirrors. For the guys over at Cycle Canada, the Forty-Eight conjured up a rather odd image: roller derby.
