Harley-Davidson Softail description

Original owner/builder. This bike was built in 1995 to represent an early 70's Shovelhead Duo.  This bike was built from parts purchased from Mid-USA motorcycle parts. This bike was created with an 80 c.i. EVO motor for reliability and ease of use.
The bike was built then ridden for its 78.5 miles. After that, the tins were removed and paint was finished. Unfortunately the builder turned ill and died.  His son kept the bike until now. The bikes tins were refitted, new fluids were added and road tests were completed for proper performance.  The bike has been registered in a NON-OP status since 1996 when the tags were put on the license plate.  There will be no surprises at the DMV.
This bike has custom painted pearl white graphics over a "Brandy wine Kandy" (S2-KBC01) Shimrin II paint job painted over a black base coat.  The entire paint job was done using the finest "House of color" paint.
The motorcycle is ready to ride with zero issues and zero corrosion of any kind.
The "Duo" refers to the electric or kick start for the bike. The kick starter gives it an "old school" look and the electric starter gives it the reliability and ease of use of a modern day bike.
The bike runs a new HD Screami'n Eagle ignition module(part# 32421-85A). Performance gas enhanced shocks, is chain drive, and has a late model chrome oil tank.
The frame was purchased from the same Mid USA motorcycle parts manufacturer and is a 1970-1974 Shovelhead frame.
Due to the special construction of this bike, PLEASE EMAIL WITH QUESTIONS.

The idea came to Devin Santana, proprietor of Nebraska City Iron Works, one day when he was riding his Harley-Davidson down the road and looked down at his feet.

Tue, 22 Jul 2014

Harley-Davidson reported a net income of $354.2 million over the second quarter of 2014, thanks to a 12.4% increase in sales revenue. Actual motorcycle sales volume stayed about even, however, with unit sales increasing to just 90,218 motorcycles from 90,193 sold in the same quarter last year. Though sales were statistically the same as they were last year, Harley-Davidson generated $1.48 billion in revenue from motorcycle sales alone, up 16.2% from the $1.27 billion reported in the second quarter of 2013.
