1978 Harley Davidson xlh, the bike was modernized in 2014. 113 ci evo built by ultima 125 horse. 6 speed transmission ( ultima ). Open primary with outboard bearing support. 4 piston brake calipers front and rear. Custom cut fenders front and rear. Ultima forks, and cnc cut aluminum rims. Seat is covered in leather. Vee rubber tires with 300 miles on them still perfect no dry rot. The digital display is v- twin brand. The bike needs a stater, I was pulling the battery to charge it last winter and hooked up the voltage regulator to the wrong poll of the battery and ran it. It shorted out the stater. Original Viva Knievel Harley Davidsons For Sale On Ebay
Fri, 09 Aug 2013For sale on Ebay right now are two original Harley-Davidson Sportsters ridden by legendary stuntman Evel Knievel in the film “Viva Knievel!“ Click here to see the Ebay listing, which ends on Monday, August 12. The first is the “Flying Eagle” Strato-Cycle, which is one of two used in the movie. The bike is complete with full documentation including original sales invoice from Harley-Davidson in 1977, which certified (with matching VIN numbers) and specifies that it was used in the Viva Knievel movie.
Music and Motorcycles Exhibit
Wed, 04 Mar 2009The four-day “Music and Motorcycles” exhibit, presented by the Long Island Music Hall of Fame (LIMHOF), will be on public display at the Lighthouse Harley-Davidson dealership in Huntington Station, NY. The exhibit will feature memorabilia and motorcycles from many inductees from the LIMHOF including, Joan Jett, Billy Joel, Dee Snider, The Ramones, Darryl McDaniel of Run DMC and more. Billy Joel will be supplying several custom bikes, Twisted Sister have agreed to loan one of their motorcycles and a gas tank signed by Jett, Snider, Peter Tork of The Monkees, Gary U.S.
