2012 Harley-Davidson FLHTCU Ultra Classic Electra Glide, FLHTCU Ultra Classic Electra Glide - The 2012 Harley Ultra Classic Electra Glide FLHTCU provides touring style with many upgrades, including a Harley motorcycle sidecar. New for 2012, the Harley Ultra Classic Electra Glide features a powerful, new, larger air-cooled Twin Cam 103 Harley engine with 6-speed cruise drive tranmission, providing more performance power for passing, hill-climbing, and riding with passenger and lugagge. The Harley Ultra Classic Electra Glide offers two types of motorcycles wheels. The optional motorcycle wheels offered on the Ultra Classic Electra Glide can give this bike a different look so be sure to check them out in the Paint & Wheels section. Rare Harley-Davidson Motorcycles and Memorabilia Up for Auction
Tue, 24 Jun 2014More than 500 rare Harley-Davidson motorcycles and collector’s items will be hitting the auction block on June 28. The items belong to Ron Shreffler, former owner of a Harley-Davidson dealership in Manteno, Ill. The retired Shreffler once had plans to open a Harley-Davidson museum but has now decided to auction off his collection gathered from 48 years in the industry.
Harley-Davidson Museum Announces Black Leather Jacket Exhibit
Thu, 09 Feb 2012The Harley-Davidson Museum is opening a new exhibit dedicated to an iconic piece of motorcycle culture: the black leather jacket. The “Worn to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket“ exhibit will showcase the ubiquitous article from many riders’ wardrobe.The exhibit includes over 100 artifacts including jackets designed by fashion houses such as Jean Paul Gaultier and Gianni Versace, as well as jackets worn by celebrities such as Elvis Presley. “The leather jacket symbolizes different things for each person who wears it, whether they are a motorcyclist, celebrity or a top designer,” says Bill Davidson, vice president of the Harley-Davidson Museum.
