Harley-Davidson Other description

1 owner.  I invested approximately $40,000 in this bike including interest.  I paid Harley Davidson to put a screaming eagle kit, then a 1550 big bore kit, and a solid rear wheel, new tires, along with Vincent Hines pipes. This bike sounds, drives and runs awesome. Only 19,000 miles on it.   Only reason for selling is because of money issues or this bike would not be for sale!

2014 AMA Pro Flat Track Grand National Championship On The Line At Pomona

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

Granted, flat track racing isn’t our specialty at MO, but we’re no doubt fans of the action. See our coverage from the 2012 season finale for proof. The following is from an AMA Pro Racing press release: A total of 15 races over eight months couldn’t separate Jared Mees and Bryan Smith by much.

Original Viva Knievel Harley Davidsons For Sale On Ebay

For sale on Ebay right now are two original Harley-Davidson Sportsters ridden by legendary stuntman Evel Knievel in the film “Viva Knievel!“ Click here to see the Ebay listing, which ends on Monday, August 12. The first is the “Flying Eagle” Strato-Cycle, which is one of two used in the movie. The bike is complete with full documentation including original sales invoice from Harley-Davidson in 1977, which certified (with matching VIN numbers) and specifies that it was used in the Viva Knievel movie.

Harley-Davidson and an American Hero

Fri, 07 Dec 2012

As motorcyclists, we’re drawn to the freedom two wheels represent; just man, machine and the open road. The feeling rings true today as it did 72 years ago, when Wallace Van Sandt, of Birmingham, Alabama, took delivery of his 1941 Harley-Davidson WLD Special Sport Solo, purchased new in 1940 for $365 (roughly $5800 in today’s money) by his father as a high school graduation gift. The WLD Special Sport Solo was a ringer in its day.
