Up for sale is one of the sweetest bikes Big Dog ever put out....2004 Big Dog Chopper! This sled is top shelf from top to bottom. It all starts with an S&S 107 inch motor (1750cc) and like you would expect it is all chromed out. The custom air filter directs the life-blood of air to a S&S Super G carb.
The huge rear tire can take every bit of power this engine pumps out. The bike needs nothing, except a rider. The vivid black paint shines, as does the custom one piece alum wheels. The chrome sissy bar gives this ride that old school look everyone is wanting now, plus added neon green LED lights. It also has a passenger pad that mounts on the rear fender with suction cups, and yes....it is very secure. If you are looking for a low miles bike (12,350) and have always wanted to own one of these beasts....well now is your chance! I bought this ride in 2011 from the original owner with 10,000 miles on it. That means I've only put a little over 2,000 on it in the last 5 yrs. and that's because I have other bikes I ride more. When this bike was sold new it cost around $25,000. It has a brand new battery and a clear and clean title. It is always covered in the garage. Harley Declares Women Riders Month
Tue, 10 Feb 2009Back in July of ’08 Motorcycle.com announced that The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum and Nationwide Insurance were working together to mark July as Women’s Motorcycle Month in order to honor the contribution made to history by female riders. This May, Harley-Davidson is staging a series of events in order to celebrate women on two wheels by declaring May, “Women Riders Month.” Some of the Harley-Davidson Women Riders Month initiatives will include special rides in New York City and Milwaukee as well as an attempt to grace the pages of the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest number of women motorcycle riders trained in one weekend. Harley-Davidson dealerships will also be hosting women-only Garage Parties, which consist of informal meetings in an unintimidating environment where women can learn about motorcycling.
US Highland Making a Comeback
Thu, 13 Oct 2011US Highland appears to be making a comeback, announcing plans to begin processing new orders and having discussions with several OEMs for the use of the Oklahoma company’s powertrains. The Tulsa-based company did not mention which OEMs it is working with, though US Highland says the discussions could result in sales of over 20,000 units per year. The company is developing fuel injected V-Twin engines in 750cc, 950cc and 1050cc displacements and Singles in 350cc, 450cc and 507cc displacements.
