Harley-Davidson Other description

2000 Harley-Davidson Road King POLICE, This bike is in excellent condition. Bought in 2002 from Seacoast Harley with only 2K miles - from Dedham, MA Sheriff's Dept. Only has ~13K miles, serviced regularly, always stored in a garage. Best of both worlds - take quick detachable windshield, backrest (included but not pictured), luggage rack (included but not pictured) and touring seat (included but not pictured) off, put the badlander seat (pictured) on and go for a cruise around town OR gear up and go for the long ride. With the adjustable air shocks front and back this bike is VERY comfortable for the long ride. Lowered with genuine HD Profile low profile shocks in 2007, tires and brakes are good, fully serviced. Ice blue LED oil temp gauge, HD grips, custom mirrors, smoked front lenses, blue dot rear lenses, passenger pegs, Samson Pipes (sounds great), etc. You will not be disappointed with this bike. Black Police Ed's are very hard to find and this one is in excellent condition and great on gas with ~45 mpg. Love this bike and hate to see it go but have young boys and no time to ride. . .email if interested. Reasonable offer will take it. Willing to deliver in local NH area and will include HD cover. $9,750.00

New Delhi Auto Expo 2012 – Motorcycle Manufacturers Draw Battle Lines for World’s Second Largest Market

Mon, 09 Jan 2012

In past years, the biennial Auto Expo in India slipped under the radar while the industry was focused more on shows such as EICMA in Italy and Intermot in Germany. But with India’s middle class starting to flex its financial muscle while other markets continue to struggle, the New Delhi show is becoming much more prominent, with major OEMs positioning themselves to claim a piece of the India’s 13 million vehicles-a-year market. We’ve already looked at India-produced Royal Enfield’s new Thunderbird 500 and Hero Moto’s hybrid scooter concept which debuted at the Auto Expo, and today we’ll look at what the major international OEMs presented.

Louisiana Bill Updates Maximum Handlebar Height Legislation

Thu, 17 May 2012

Louisiana state lawmakers have approved a bill that would change the maximum height of motorcycle handlebars. Current state law restricts handlebar height to no more than 15 inches above the seat, a somewhat arbitrary level, but a common choice with 17 other states. The House has voted 87-0 in favor of Senate Bill 582 to change the maximum height to the rider’s shoulder level, as measured while sitting on the seat.

Motorcycle Buying Tips For Women

Fri, 17 May 2013

Over the past few years, especially since the height of the economic crisis, more and more women have turned to motorcycling both as a way to save on fuel costs, but also to experience the joys of the open road. In an article recently published by Consumer Reports, some tips are provided for women looking to enter the sport for the first time. The first bit of advice is to “Sit on a lot of different bikes first,” says Angela Annamalai of Shelby’s Powersports in Bronx, New York.
