Harley-Davidson Other description

1949 Factory Race WR. I've been the owner of the bike since 1969. It had been stored in my shop for the past 40 years. I recently brought it out of storage, cleaned the carburetor, serviced the bike and it started right up. Very original with the exception of the magneto which is now a Edison Splitdorf. Currently I have a Linkert carburetor with a choke installed but I also have the original MR3 carburetor. The bike runs great. Motor serial number: 49WR3099 For additional questions call Jack at 661-809-9128

Harley-Davidson Breakout Recall Caused by Fuel Tank Angle

Fri, 25 Apr 2014 00:00:00 -0700

An official recall announcement by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration sheds some light on the cause of a recall campaign on 2013-2014 Harley-Davidson Breakout and CVO Breakout models. We wrote about the recall last week, after campaigns were initiated in Canada and Australia to address a problem with the fuel sensors not properly reading the correct volume of fuel. We now know the problem is caused by the angle of the fuel tank.

The plaintiffs contended they believed their  was equipped with ABS because the instrument panel had an ABS indicator icon and from the salesperson’s sales pitch.

Harley-Davidson Denies Plans for Small-Displacement Model for India

Fri, 18 May 2012 00:00:00 -0700

India’s 13-million-unit-per-year motorcycle market is comprised of mostly small-displacement models, so it sounds odd at first when manufacturers such as Harley-Davidson and Triumph enter the market with their larger-displacment models. The question quickly arises as to whether they will stick with their existing big-bore models or introduce an all-new, small-capacity model for the Indian market. Manufacturers like the Big Four from Japan already produce smaller models for other markets so it’s a relatively easy task for them to introduce new models such as Honda‘s recently launched 109cc Dream Yuga.
