First year for the front brake. All bolts have 1038 markings where thay aply. Cad or Parkerized. Fenders an gas tank painted with PPG base coat clear coat. Color is Hi-Fire Red (Orange) 1957 one year only color. Motor rebuilt with new chain,bearings an seals. New hardware. Cylinder is freshly bored .020 over with oem piston & rings. Dealer Assy: Shifter rubber,kicker rubber, grip plugs, chrome air filter an chrome exhaust pipe. Seat has been restored in leather with powder coated seat pan. Tires are 2 Ply Firestone Chamption gum dipped. Spokes or OEM drop centered. Newly cad plated. The little Hummer runs an shift good. Headlamp an tail lamp work. The B-day celebration will be followed by a V-Twin Cruise-In on July 13 and punctuated by a summer-long exhibit entitled Arlen Ness: Art on Two Wheels. The July 12th birthday party is open to the public and the $95 ticket price puts you in the company of Arlen and other customizing aristocrats and also includes cocktails and dinner.
Dave Grohl Drums to the Sound of a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle
Fri, 31 Jul 2009I’ve got a lot of respect for Dave Grohl. He’s amazingly talented and very driven. Even after Nirvana, the guy is still kicking and in the spotlight with the Foo Fighters and the millions of other side projects he’s done (ie: Queens of the Stone Age). Apparently he’s also a big motorcycle guy. Harley-Davidson did a little video on Dave, featuring him drumming on a snare drum to the exhaust pipes of a Harley-Davidson. The seven minute video goes on about how Mr Grohl bought his first motorcycle when the Nirvana album “Nevermind” started to become big.
