This (last of the real Ducati SuperBikes) is the last year, and production run of the Ducati 999. It includes top of the line Ohlins suspension, Brembo brakes, Marchesini wheels, and more direct from the factory. Which is good since it was $20,000 when it was new, and that's before more than $5,000 in upgrades were installed! Upgrades include:
This is not my first Ducati 999. I've had a lot of 999's and have rode at least 15,000 miles on 999's over the years.

Tires have maybe 500 miles on them, so expect to replace them soon. Bike has been dropped before, but damage was basically limited to the original fairings. The only other damage was exceptionally minor (very hard to see any) and limited axle and bar end sliders which have simply been removed from the bike. If I didn't tell you this bike had been dropped, or if you didn't know that it originally came with different bodywork, you may have never noticed. I have several great upgrade parts available from BellissiMoto for this bike. Troy Bayliss and Ernesto Marinelli on the Ducati 1199 Panigale [Video]
Tue, 22 Nov 2011Three-time World Superbike Champion Troy Bayliss and Ducati Superbike Project Director Ernesto Marinelli sat down together to talk about the new Ducati 1199 Panigale in a new video released by the Bologna manufacturer. The video was shot in a split screen format with the two men answering questions about Ducati‘s new superbike. Of course, the video feature the two lauding superlatives on the 1199, but it does offer some amusing moments such as Bayliss’ “Superquadro” face pictured above and the two men doing their impressions of how the Panigale sounds rocketing down the straight of the Mugello circuit.

Mon, 01 Jul 2013The 91st running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is in the books, and while much of the media attention focused on Sebastien Loeb demolishing the outright course record, setting the first eight-minute lap with a 8:13.878 — over 90 seconds faster than the previous lap record —in his Peugeot 208 T16, history was made in the motorcycle divisions as well. Below are the times for all the motorcycle competitors in this year’s event. As expected, Carlin Dunne aboard the Lightning electric superbike, took top honors among all motorcycle competitors, marking the first time an electric motorcycle has done so.
