Ducati Sport Touring description

This is A Very Clean Ducati Diavel!

From any perspective, the Diavel is an impressive motorcycle. Its profile is unique, as it is its mission. Styling is enormously muscular--forward concentration of masses, lean rear section and fat rear tire. It looks like a linebacker ready to spring into action, the pads protecting his shoulders and back so thickly that the helmet disappears into his body. The headlight is almost flush with the massive 50mm Marzocchi fork and the protruding air intakes. The masses concentrated behind the front wheel form a complex, almost gothic image of clean, rounded surfaces, either in polished metal or dull black on which the vivid red of the steel trellis frame draws its elegant triangulations.

This distinctive Ducati has unique, muscular styling, we love that it looks like it's about to explode up front and sprint forward. The fun thing is, this bike has the engine to back the looks. With a potent 162 Horsepower 1198 powerplant and a 6 speed transmission this things moves! To keep things in check Ducati equipped this bike with ABS and 3 driving modes. Equipped with Brembo brakes this thing stops as well as it goes, and is well balanced overall.

848 Challenge official race report: Assen

Wed, 23 May 2012

Robbie Brown shared the race wins with a resurgent Darren Fry at Round Two as the Ducati 848 Challenge visited the Assen TT circuit, the first of its two overseas rounds this year.Championship leader Brown (Ducati Manchester) was on imperious form all weekend, but Fry (Hirebase/JHP Racing), still not back to full fitness following an illness that left him in doubt about riding this year, put in a performance that was reminiscent of the form that took him to the Challenge title in 2010.With a win and a second place this weekend Brown extended his lead at the top of the table, but in also picking up a win and second Fry is back in the game in second with six rounds still to go. Sam Coventry (Moto Rapido), new to the Challenge this season and quickly getting back up to speed racing a twin after his year away in Spanish CEV championship, bagged third in both races to leapfrog to third in the championship.A number of other riders were able to put in solid performances over the two dry race days to do themselves no harm in the championship; in particular Jack Keen (Team Havoc Racing) with a fourth and fifth, and another championship newcomer Sean Neary (MotoCorse UK Racing) who scored a seventh and sixth.Race 1 was something of a dramatic affair with a number of fallers on the first lap, including front-runners Mike Edwards (OHLINS@P&H Motorcycles), Mark Cheetham (Hunt Pie Machines) and James Folkard (Win43.com) who came together at the first left-hander while battling for second place behind Brown. That left Coventry and Fry a clear track to chase down Brown, with Keen and Ed Smith (Ultim8 Racing) pushing hard through the field to close the gap.

Intermot 2012: Ducati Monster Celebrates 20th Anniversary

For 2013, Ducati is offering an anniversary edition version with bronze-colored highlights reminiscent of the original M900. Available for the Monster 696, 796 and 1100 EVO, the 20th Anniversary Edition adds a steel trellis bronze frame, gold brake components, champagne front forks, gray swignarm, engine outer casings and lower triple clamp and chrome headlamp support.

Rossi and Hayden Debut Ducati Desmosedici GP12 at Sepang MotoGP Test

Tue, 31 Jan 2012

Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden got their first taste of the new Ducati Desmosedici GP12 race bikes at the official MotoGP test at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit. It’s only the first day of the pre-season test, and Ducati spent much of its time trying to establish a base setup for the rest of the three-day test. Rossi logged 43 laps and his best time was 2:02.392, fifth fastest of the test and 0.735 seconds behind leader Jorge Lorenzo of Yamaha.
