Ducati Sport Touring description

Selling my 2011 Ducati multi-Strada S touring edition. This bike is in excellent condition with only 8309 miles. No dents, dings, scratches, etc. I am a 56-year-old enthusiast and I am selling off a couple of my motorcycles. This bike has never been abused or dropped and is in very-very clean condition.  This Multi-Strada comes with the electronically adjustable on the fly suspension, heated grips,ABS and traction control. It has a full stainless steel and carbon fiber arrow exhaust system with removable decibel killer silencer insert. With the insert in the silencer this is a nice throaty quiet exhaust. The bike had the computer re flashed when the exhaust was installed at Ducati Miami. Runs fantastic with no popping or backfiring like some I have heard. It has a good set of Michelin tires on it with plenty of tread left.  I installed a upgraded adjustable windshield which makes this a very comfortable motorcycle. Stock shield included. I also will include the factory optional centerstand. Great for chain maintance.  I was going to wait until spring to list this bike but will offer it here at a reduced end of season price. Feel free to contact me with any questions or if you would like to see the bike in person.  No surprises or disappointments with this bike only selling to make room for next year's purchases. Bike is currently in Traverse City Michigan but I am willing to help with shipping or delivery.

Massimo Tamburini: 1943 – 2014

Mon, 07 Apr 2014

Massimo Tamburini, creator of some of the industry’s most iconic motorcycle designs, has succumbed to lung cancer at the age of 70. Tamburini was diagnosed with the disease last November and underwent chemotherapy treatment but passed away April 6. Earning renown for designing motorcycles such as the Ducati 916 and the MV Agusta F4, Tamburini’s name will be forever linked with those two companies, as well as Cagiva and helped found Bimota (Tamburini is the “Ta” in the company’s name.) WSBK: 2012 Misano Results – Video

Tue, 12 Jun 2012

Max Biaggi strengthened his hold on the 2012 World Superbike Championship lead with a pair of wins at Italy’s Misano circuit. The Aprilia rider out-battled the Althea Ducati duo of Carlos Checa and Davide Giugliano to win Race One before taking a relatively easier Race Two victory. Before the races, WSBK riders lined up on the starting grid to hold a banner expressing their support for the Emilia region in northern Italy which has been suffering from earthquakes and continuing aftershocks since late May.

Sci-fi Rizoma Anima sculpture

Fri, 24 Sep 2010

This sculpture is from Rizoma the purveyors of exclusively sexy specials, like this Ducati Streetfighter. Named the Anima Hero, this concept looks as if the block of aluminium is morphing to form a space-age bike suited to the metropolis highways of the distant future. The piece sums up the Rizoma values of Innovation, Technology, Style and Exclusivity and was a culmination of 45 days of continuously precise machining conveying what the company says is a "purity of clean-cut edges and crisp contours, which give a sense of lightness..."
