Unless you contact me. For Sale- 1999 Ducati (ST4) Sport Touring, this bike's in very nice condition and needs nothing. I've owned this bike since 2006, but have found myself riding my other bikes more and if there not being ridden its time to move them. This bike had a full major service done in 2012 (including valve adjust, new belts, plugs and new Pirelli Angel tires) and was stored do to deployments, moving back to US and having other bikes to ride. Previous owner (a good friend and riding mate) completely disassembled the bike do to the engine case at the left rear motor mount being cracked. During this time the motor was gone through keeping it stock except for lightening flywheel at Speed's Cycle in Baltimore, MD. Ducati Performance slip ons and jet coated header pipes. The frame and several parts is powder coated, it has ST4s forged wheels, yoyodyne clutch slave cylinder, Penske shock with Hyperco spring, rev-valved forks with Race Tech emulators and lots of Carbon Fiber bits, very nice Sargent seat (see photos), All the work was done in 2005, new battery 2016, all fresh fluids. Bike speedometer shows 35,300 miles, I've only managed to put about 4,000 miles on this bike since the complete rebuild 2005. There's a few scratches but, paint still has very nice shine and over all looks fantastic. Fairings was hanging on my garage wall when a set of car tires fell and took out the fairings, this in turn cracked them. There's a left upper and lower fairing included for anyone that wants to put the lowers on. The bikes never been wrecked or down. The bike runs fantastic and its ready to have lots of miles put on it. Being sold as is without any warranty. Buyer's responsible for arranging pick up, shipping and all costs associated. Wed, 18 Jul 2012I don't smoke, so my excuses for buying this are very limited - but that doesn't stop me wanting it. It's a Ducati Zippo from 1982, not that Zippo technology has changed much in the last two decades but the price of this one has. If it was a tenth of its £170 asking price, I might have bought it.
Dramatic start to the 848 Challenge season
Tue, 10 Apr 2012The 2012 Ducati 848 Challenge got off to a dramatic start at Brands Hatch this weekend as the weather played a disruptive influence on the outcome of both races. Cold, rainy conditions prevailed on both Easter Sunday and Monday forcing the field of 33 riders to kick-off the season racing on wet tyres in greasy track conditions. With a number of riders having to start from pit lane, Race 1 got off to an eventful start with two riders falling at Paddock Hill as all the riders jostled for places and wheels touched.
2012 Ducati 1199 Panigale S Receives FIM Superstock Homologation
Thu, 01 Mar 2012It was only a matter of time but finally the news is official: the 2012 Ducati 1199 Panigale S has been added to the list of homologated motorcycles for the Superstock 1000 Cup The Panigale was noticeably absent from the initial homologation list the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) released a couple of weeks ago. Now, with a month until the 2012 Superstock 1000 Cup starts at Italy’s Imola circuit, the 1199 has been cleared to complete. The delay was merely a formality however, and teams such as Effenbert-Liberty Racing have already begun testing the Ducati 1199 Panigale S in racing trim.
