Ducati Multistrada description

I am giving up motorcycling.

This is my 2006 Ducati Multistrada 620. I am the first owner.  It has a clear Mass title. The bike has many extras: Ducati saddle bags and trunk; ducati oil cooler, ducati carbon fiber chain guard, ducati hand guards, wind defelctor, wired for GPS (mount not included in sale), heated handgrips, louder horn, admore brake light, LED extra bright brake light, frame protectors, heat troller for heated jacket.  The gas tank has been replaced under warranty by Ducati.  The bike has been well maintained.  The belts were changed by a very reputable Ducati mechanic at 18000 miles at the same time as he did the major tune-up with valve adjustment. Mechanically, the bike is in very good shape.  The tires have some life left on them too.  I have bills for the last 2 years of maintenances and repairs (local Ducati dealer and independent Ducati specialist).  The bike has been dropped.  There are scratches on most body pannels and the right lower fairing is broken, but still functional.  there is also a small tear on the passenger seat.  The frame of the bike and the mecchanic is in perfect order (Massachusetts inspects motorcycles every year and the bike is current.  The mileage is accurate, but might go up a few miles as I am still riding.

Please do not hesitate to ask questions.  There are no tricks.  It is a very good bike with many extras, but the body is scratched.

Winter weather but summer carries on.

Tue, 14 Jun 2011

Aye, it’s been a another good week in the world of Niall Mackenzie. My friends at Moto Direct sent me a new RST Pro Series suit to try out, I acquired some new rubber for my S10000RR and young Taylor Mac splashed home to 12th place on his Aprilia in the 125cc British Grand Prix. Being no fashion guru and pretty ancient now I’m satisfied the brightest suit I’ve ever climbed into looks the biz.

Doug Polen Joins Motorcycle Hall of Fame Class of 2011

Tue, 24 May 2011

Former AMA and World Superbike Champion Doug Polen has been named to the Motorcycle Hall of Fame class of 2011. “Any fan of motorcycle roadracing will remember Doug’s amazing – and dominating – championship runs on the AMA and World Superbike stages,” says Don Rosene, a member of the American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation Board of Directors. “At a time when the series saw plenty of fast competitors, Doug was clearly the fastest.

Nuggets from Estoril

Tue, 03 May 2011

HRC Executive Vice President Shuhei Nakamoto and Ducati General Director Filippo Preziosi attracted some major media attention as they enjoyed a lengthy but very public chat in the Estoril paddock. Some speculated they were chewing the fat over Stoner’s brilliance now that even Rossi is struggling to get close to the podium on the D800cc Ducati. Others had no doubt it was the rule change for Moto GP machines moving to 1000cc in 2012 that was being debated.
