Ducati Multistrada description

Hi my name is Charlie Beard from Port Deposit Maryland. I am 75 and still love all types of motorcycles but my reactions are slowing down and I don't feel confident at slow speed so I have decided to sell this great machine. Their is absolutely nothing wrong with my Ducati. It is truly an awesome bike and I don't regret buying it and I am sure who ever buys it will agree. I don't ride it hard so the tires are hardly worn. I change my own oil and filter so it has amsoil 20/50 motorcycle synthetic and k&n filter at the 800 mile mark. My next oil change will be at 5k and every 5k thereafter. I always do my own first service because I think they charge way too much for what they do but that being said I feel everyone should make their own decision on this matter. My gas gage went kaput a few months in and they just came out with the new corrected one that I got and haven't had a problem since. All computer updates are current because my bike was just recalled for a new kickstand which was just replaced last month. The tank bag is a Givi 15 liter bag with a quick release ring so the bag does not rub the tank ($200). I also bought the 2015 enduro kit and installed all the parts except the metal foot pegs. the parts are as follows: engine crash bars, larger foot for kickstand, heavy duty lower engine cover, radiator protector cover, and aux lights. They were a very good addition however the Ducati comes with cornering lights which are very cool. I also replaced the windscreen with a larger calsi one. It works much better than the factory one. All parts will go with bike. The operators manual keys and all pertinent paper work will be with bike. I have owned and sold a lot of motorcycles of all makes and models and I have never had a complaint and I don't want one now. I have about 25K in this bike and that is ok so their will be quite a bit of savings and the 2016 model is pretty much the same bike. I hope I remembered everything. Please call or email me with any questions. I am in the phone book.

The buyer is responsible for shipping and a $1000 deposit in my paypal account is required within 24 hrs of sale. Do not use paypal for anything but the deposit. All monies have to clear my bank before the Ducati is released. I reserve the right to cancel this sale at anytime.

Piaggio Opening New Design Center in US

Wed, 14 Mar 2012

Piaggio announced it is opening a new design center in Pasadena, Calif., to be headed by Aprilia RSV4 designer Miguel Galluzzi. Roberto Colaninno, chairman and chief executive officer of  the Piaggio Group, announced plans for the new Advanced Design Center at a dealer convention for the Piaggio Group Americas in Miami, Fla. At the moment, North American customers usually have to wait a little longer before they receive new Piaggio models, with most models arriving on these shores months after they are available in Europe.

The above shoe rendering was created by Industrial Designer, Oliver Henrichot, who is based in Portland, OR, the concept was inspired by the Ducati Monster.  There is no word if it will ever make it into production but its still an amazing design. Ducati MotoGP: Smoke and mirrors

Tue, 01 Mar 2011

There's often more lurking within a seemingly innocuous press release than first meets the eye. The latest communication from Ducati's MotoGP spin doctor would, at first, lend you to believe that the team are buoyed with steely optimism and are hopeful that their hard work ethic and diligence will get them to the top of the time sheets in two shakes of a 10 mil' Facom T-bar. The results from their pre-season testing sessions have so far been pretty glum with both Nicky Hayden and their golden boy Valentino Rossi trailing the rest of the pack by a couple of seconds.
