Chopper Chopper description

Particularly if you are from outside of the United States, PLEASE READ THE TERMS before bidding!! I will not make exceptions for you just because you are from the Netherlands or wherever!
Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns, and Thank You for reading!   -Ken

The Broadway Chopper was the grand prize in a $50,000 charity raffle held by the ESTA Foundation in 2007 to benefit theatre's 'Behind The Scenes' workers who become injured on the job. There were actually over $80,000 in tickets available for sale.

The Broadway Chopper is so-named because it is a show bike that was made to be used--and was used--in Broadway Theater Shows. It was built to the specifications of the Hudson Scenic Design Studio. Needless to say, it was not built by Harley-Davidson but has a Harley-Davidson engine. It runs well and looks even better!

"Because this year's bike is so special, The ESTA Foundation wanted everyone to have a chance to participate in the raffle, including those unable to attend LDI 2007. ...Raffle tickets also include the chance to win the second place prize of a $2,500 VISA gift card or the third place prize of a $1,000 VISA gift card."

This collectible motorcycle has not been painted, touched up, or altered in any way since it was received by the Grand Prize Winner (that would be me!). For verification, one of the announcements about the winners can be found here (or Google my name and The Broadway Chopper to find more):

The Broadway Chopper has spent most of its life in temperature-controlled vehicle storage. I have been unable to ride so it has been properly stored. It recently received maintenance from Badger (formerly Capitol) Harley Davidson, an authorized Harley Davidson Dealer in Madison Wisconsin so it is ready to ride again.

This completely chromed-out hard-tail custom-built motorcycle features a 1997 Atlas "The Coyote" rigid frame 1A9HS74A2VA329152 (was new with papers when built) made by Atlas Precision/Pro Magnum and a Harley Davidson engine 1HD1CAP10NY122039 of 1992 vintage. (FYI Atlas updated their manufacturing process for producing this frame with the latest technology in 1996, built to the same specs as the original Atlas Coyote frame).

There is no odometer but it has had VERY little use during the time that I have owned it as I have been unable to ride.

The bike features a beautiful and subtle two-toned red checkered flag paint job (difficult to appreciate from photos) plus $2000 (cost) worth of murals painted on it such as chains that appear to bust through the side of the gas tank, Janus (aka Happy and Sad / Comedie Tragedie / Shakespearean / Greek) masks on the side, Harley Davidson logo, etc.

"The traditional "Comedy Tragedy" masks are used now as a universal symbol for drama, and also represent the two sides of Dionysus, as well as the two effects of wine: joyous, Bacchic revelry, and a dark, sorrowful harvest."--angelfire

"The custom wheels are from Performance Machine, with an 18" wheel holding a 180 Avon tire on the rear and a 21" wheel holding a matched Avon tire on the front. All the handle bar kits are from Arlen Ness. With the bike comes a complete bible itemizing every part used in its assembly"

Paul Teutul Sr. from OCC, once again finds himself in the spotlight, this time it’s for building the worlds first totally green custom motorcycle that was commissioned by Siemens.  Some features of the bike include: a clutch-less transmission, 27-horsepower engine and a top speed of 100 mph.  You can plug the bike into a standard 110-volt plug, takes 5 hours to fully charge and has a 60 mile range on a full charge. The Siemens Smart Chopper will go on tour this year to help promote green technology and will be auctioned off for charity at some point next year.

Motorcycle.com on “American Chopper”: Senior vs. Junior vs. Jesse James

Mon, 05 Dec 2011

The infamous “American Chopper” TV juggernaut rolls on, with a two-hour special to be broadcast tonight and culminating with a live event on Tuesday evening in Las Vegas. The interesting thing about this week’s shows is that I’m in Vegas as a guest critic of the builds, a three-team competition between Paul Teutul Senior, Paul Junior and the notorious Jesse James. Earlier today I got a chance to see the vehicles for the first time, and what a trio it is!
