Buell Motorcycles Shut Down [video]

Update Nov 13: Last Buell Motorcycle Rolls Off the Line An emotional Erik Buell has posted a video on the Buell Motorcycle site officially announcing that Harley-Davidson has shut down all Buell motorcycle production.  Harley-Davidson will honor all warranties for Buell owners, Buell dealers will still be selling the limited supply of bikes that are currently on hand.  Visit Motorcycle.com News for more details. Report: Danny Eslick Signs with Erik Buell Racing

Two-time AMA Sportbike Champion Danny Eslick has reportedly signed with Erik Buell Racing to ride the EBR 1190RS in the 2012 AMA Superbike Championship. According to RoadRacingWorld, Eslick will join the already-signed Geoff May for a two-rider EBR team. RoadRacingWorld reports EBR has secured additional sponsorship, allowing the team to sign a second rider.

Results From Day 1 Of World Superbike Testing At Phillip Island

Eugene Laverty, aboard his Voltcom Crescent Suzuki GSX-R1000, led the field today as the first day of World Superbike testing got underway at the Phillip Island circuit in Australia, site of the first race of the 2014 season. Under sunny skies and perfect weather conditions, Laverty adapted quickly to his new ride after spending last season aboard the Aprilia RSV4 Factory. The Suzuki offered incredible feedback and allowed him to push right out of the gates, ultimately setting a fastest lap time of 1:30.513.
