                                                                                   1968 BSA Firebird Scrambler 650

You are bidding on my 1968 BSA Firebird Scrambler.  research has shown me that BSA only made about 250 of these in 1968.  This is a matching numbers bike.  Frame: A65FB-8207  Engine:  A65FB-8207  This leads me to believe this may be number 207 made that year.

This is a barn find.  The engine does turn over with good solid compression.  It does have the original Amal carbs, frame is not altered, and it has the original front forks, brakes, fenders, etc...brakes work, shifts.  tires hold air.  rolls around fine.

I do not have any extra parts or manuals, sorry.

I will provide a Notarized Bill of Sale.

PAYMENT BY PAY PAL ONLY:  You need to have a Pay Pal account linked up to your ebay email address.  This way, I can send you an Invoice to pay when the auction ends.  I would like payment within 24 hours after I send you the Invoice unless other arrangements are made BEFORE YOU BID.  The bike is located in Onsted, Michigan 49265 which is 62 miles southwest of Detroit and 45 minutes northwest of Toledo, Ohio.  I do not ship motorcycles and I am not a dealer or a mechanic.  The buyer is responsible to arrange and pay for their own shipping or pick the bike up.  I will store the bike for 30 days.  Please try to get it picked up by then.  Thanks.

PAYMENT:     PAY PAL ONLY.  (I will need your email address as linked to your Pay Pal so I can send you an Invoice), PAY WHEN YOU WIN.

SHIPPING:      BUYER MUST PAY FOR AND ARRANGE THEIR OWN SHIPPING PLEASE.  I CAN AND WILL HOLD IT HERE FOR YOU FOR UP TO 30 days.

What’s Old Is New Again – Video

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

There’s something distinctly cool about old British motorcycles. From the wire wheels, the minimal bodywork, and the exposed engines which give off a thunderous bark, I’ve always loved looking at old Triumphs, BSAs and the like from the 60s.  I’ve never owned one though. The reason is simple: old British bikes are needy little maintenance machines notorious for the odd oil leak.
