BSA A65 Lightning 650 Hardtail description
You are looking at a Kool Custom Chopper done in a 60's Style. This 1969 BSA A65 Lightning is
numbers matching, 650cc with a 4sp. The frame has been hard tailed and weld on very nicely. The frame geometry is
on point. The bike behaves extremely well and feels very stable at all
speeds. New Avon 21" Front tire on a Chrome Mini Hub.
The Fauxtina paint job is is in "riding" condition, Flat Black rubbed and loved on with a few rock chips from normal use. Bates style Fart Pad and Sprung Saddle, it doesn't beat you up as bad as most ridged bikes do. The top end of the engine has been rebuilt .40 over using OEM or better gaskets. New Amal carbs. This bike was built to be reliable so all the wiring has been updated and motor is now using a Boyer electric ignition, Podtronics, and New coils. The custom leather case that houses the electronics finishes the feel of the bike. This is a "First kick" bike and I feel confidant riding anywhere. Rear brake only, Currently running short straight pipes, sounds great! This Bike has many new and upgraded parts, Lots of accessories and kustom pieces. Old school! It is titled and Registered as a 1969 BSA with a clear title and a visible vin#. Must see to appreciate!!! This Beazer is for someone to just enjoy as a driver or take it to shows it's not perfect it's not a trailer queen by any means but it's a cool old Bike and there are not many like this around. What’s Old Is New Again – Video
Mon, 14 Oct 2013There’s something distinctly cool about old British motorcycles. From the wire wheels, the minimal bodywork, and the exposed engines which give off a thunderous bark, I’ve always loved looking at old Triumphs, BSAs and the like from the 60s. I’ve never owned one though. The reason is simple: old British bikes are needy little maintenance machines notorious for the odd oil leak.
