I bought this bike with 11k on it back in 2010, most all of the miles are on road freeway miles, it runs great, no oil burn, fresh valve adjustment, BMW just did a service update free and replaced the fuel pump, it pulls very strong, Custom Paint (matte anthracite grey), new wheel bearings in front, freshly tuned and balanced wheel by Woodys wheel works in CO. Have rebuild-able Wilbur shocks both front and rear on it, pivot pegz, new tires, throttle lock cruise control and mechanically works great. This is the first model year for the R100RS with the wind tunnel designed frame mounted fairing which all sport and touring motorcycles would follow to this day. Even today this is one of if not the best fairing ever put on a motorcycle. I have owned this bike about 25 years and did the restoration about 10-12 years ago. I started with a numbers matching 1 of 200 40mm big pipe/big valve bike in vgc. I purchased the bike with 6016 miles and pretty much rode it all over the country before the restoration. Since then it has been ridden a few hundred miles per year now showing 36,XXX miles. The bike runs as good as it looks. No expense has ever been spared on maintenance or during the restoration. The bike has CC ported and polished heads with hardened seats, Dyna3 ignition, carbs completely rebuilt with alcohol proof independent floats, lightened and balanced flywheel with all new clutch components. Wheels and chassis have all new bearings, all new rubber, seals, cables, etc. Everything works exactly as it should except the clock which loses some time lately. If bike does not sell right away I may get the clock fixed. BMW Reports Q2 2014 Financial Results
Tue, 05 Aug 2014BMW reported an 11.2% growth in motorcycle sales revenue for the second quarter ended June 30, 2014, thanks to a new best-ever quarterly record of 42,259 motorcycles sold. The record sales quarter also led to a record of 70,978 motorcycles sold in the first half of 2014, the most motorcycles BMW has sold in a six-month period in the company’s 90-year history in the business. The second quarter sales result represents a 5.1% increase on the 40,209 motorcycles sold in the same quarter last year.

BMW HP4 Gets New ABS that Works in Corners
Fri, 18 Jul 2014BMW has developed a new anti-lock braking system designed to work when a motorcycle is leaned over into a corner. The new ABS Pro system will initially be offered as a retrofit upgrade on the BMW HP4 sportbike, but it’s likely only a matter of time before the technology becomes available on other models. The ABS Pro uses the same sensors already employed by BMW’s Dynamic Traction Control and Dynamic Damping Control electronic suspension, both of which are already available on the HP4.
Brough Superior to Make Moto2 Debut at Silverstone

2015 BMW K1600GT and K1600GTL Get Traction Control as Standard Equipment
Fri, 04 Jul 2014BMW is updating its big six-cylinder touring bikes with traction control as standard equipment and a number of new optional add-ons including keyless remote ignition. Previously available as part of BMW’s factory-installed Safety Package option, the Dynamic Traction Control system will now be standard on all 2015 K1600GT and K1600GTL models. The system continuously monitors rear wheel traction during acceleration, stepping in when it senses excessive wheel spin.
