2012 Bmw R-series on 2040-motos
BMW R-Series description
2012 BMW R1200RT with only 10,100 miles. I purchased the bike two years ago from the original owner (an older lady) in California, and have done a fair bit of traveling around CA and NV with it. Since moving to North Dakota in 2016 I haven't had much free time, so the bike has been sitting in my garage.
Everything on the bike works properly. The motor runs smooth and quiet, shifts are smooth, basically everything works like it's new. The tires Michelin Pilot Roads with a few thousand miles (worn in a nice round profile, so there's a lot of rubber left in the middle). The bike was just serviced and valves checked at 10,000 miles. It also has a brand new battery, installed 11/05/16.
I believe it has every available option:
-Heated seats (front and rear independently)
-FM and Satellite radio
-ESA II (Electronic Suspension Adjustment), damping is adjustable on-the-fly, and preload is electrically adjustable.
-Matching side cases
-OEM BMW tank bag
-A second "low" drivers seat
The bad news is that it does have a few scratches. The original owner dropped the bike in her driveway. Consequently, the left valve cover and side case have cosmetic scratches on them. There is no functional damage, the side case still closes and locks as it's supposed to.
I have a clean title in hand, in my name. Located in Fargo ND. I would be happy to accommodate a "fly and ride", or may be able to deliver the bike within the continental US for $0.54 per mile.
Thanks for looking. If you have any questions please feel free to ask!

UPDATE: Full Review now on Motorcycle.com (with video) We just spent the day ripping it up around the fabulous Portimao race circuit in Portugal on BMW’s new S1000RR supersport literbike, and it’s set to blow away perceptions of what a BMW motorcycle is. With 193 crankshaft horsepower and a claimed dry weight of 404 pounds, BMW says the S1000RR has the best power-to-weight ratio of any production bike. And, by the way the S1000 lofts its front wheel onto Portimao’s front straight at 150 mph, we’re becoming believers!Fri, 20 Dec 2013
After holding three events in the southern hemisphere, the BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy will go north in September 2014, to Canada. Billed as the GS riders’ Olympics, the biennial competition pits teams representing different countries against one another in a number of challenges testing their riding skills. Previous competitions had competitors riding the F800GS but for 2014, the GS Trophy will switch to the liquid-cooled R1200GS.Thu, 28 Nov 2013
BMW has opened a new motorcycle assembly line at the company’s factory in Thailand. The facility will initially only produce F800R roadsters from complete knock-down kits for the Thai market, though BMW plans to eventually make the facility a production hub for other Asian markets. The Thai facility is BMW’s first wholly-owned motorcycle assembly plant outside of Germany, though the company does share facilities in Manaus, Brazil with local manufacturer DAFRA Motos.
