BMW R1200GS adventure, triple black with Jesse safari bags.This bike is loaded with just about every option offered by BMW. ABS, heated hand grips, hand guards, on board computer, driving lights, ESA etc. Tires are Heidenau, with rear tire with only about 1,000 miles of use, and a brand new front tire. This bike is in excellent condition with just few very minor scuffs on the tank side panels, not sure if the pictures can show it. The bike had an 18,000 miles service. Owners manual with service records and extra ignition key included. I will not disclose the reserve, please don't ask. Bid what you're willing to pay and the reserve will be disclosed when met. This bike was sold on ebay already, and the buyer backed out. PLEASE, DON'T BID IF FOR ANY REASON YOU CAN'T COMPLETE THE TRANSACTION. Ebay auctions are not free, bidding on ebay is not a game. BMW Names Schaller New Head of Motorcycle Development
Fri, 28 Feb 2014BMW has appointed Karl Viktor Schaller as its new head of BMW Motorrad development. Schaller will replace Christian Landerl who headed motorcycle development since November 2008. Schaller studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich before becoming a scientific assistant at the research institute for gear wheels and gear manufacturing.
BMW Reports Q3 2011 Results
Thu, 03 Nov 2011The BMW Group reported a 14.8% increase in motorcycle revenue and a 6.5% increase in unit sales during the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2011. The German manufacturer sold 28,862 units over the quarter, including 26,312 BMW-branded motorcycles and 2,550 units from its Husqvarna subsidiary.
