For sale 2008 BMW R1200GS. Excellent used condition with no dents or dings. No mechanical problems. Don't hesitate to make me a reasonable offer. Must sell due to recent job change and it is no longer in the budget. Fun to ride and has a lot of accessories like Akrapovic exhaust, heated grips, engine guards, Jesse hard saddlebags, PIAA lights, GPS mount, a custom seat with height adjustment, and more. It is equipped with ESA, the BMW electronically adjustable suspension so the ride is great no matter what terrain you're on. It has ABS and a full gauge readout with tire pressure, engine oil status, temperature, miles to empty, and more. This bike is top of the line and doesn't need anything but ridden. Recently serviced at Bloodworth BMW in Nashville, TN where it was also purchased. Only one owner before me. It has low miles at 32,000. FIM Updates Superbike Racing Homologation Lists for 2013
Tue, 19 Feb 2013The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) has released an updated list of motorcycles homologated for the 2013 Superbike, Supersport, and Superstock racing season. Notable additions include the new BMW S1000RR HP4, the MV Agusta F3 and the Superbike-spec Ducati 1199 Panigale R. To qualify a production-based racebike for FIM homologations, manufacturers have to meet certain production thresholds.
Charley Boorman’s BMW R1200 GS Adventure Stolen – and Recovered
Fri, 27 Apr 2012Adventure touring documentary star Charley Boorman and his BMW R1200GS Adventure have traveled a long way together, but the motorcycle had a bit of an adventure on its own after thieves stole the bike. The stolen BMW wasn’t the one Boorman rode with Ewen McGregor in “Long Way Round” (that was a R1150GS Adventure) or the one used in the sequel “Long Way Down“. Boorman did ride it on his last project, “Charley Boorman’s Extreme Frontiers: Canada”.
WSBK 2013: Donington Park Race Report
Mon, 27 May 2013Tom Sykes had an outstanding weekend in front of his home fans, scoring a pair of wins at the World Superbike Championship round at the United Kingdom’s Donington Park. The Kawasaki racer led every session from first qualifying onwards, before leading all 23 laps in both races for the double. The double victory brings Sykes to within 4 points of series leader Sylvain Guintoli who had a decent weekend himself with a pair of podium finishes.
