I'm having to part ways with my 2006 RT because I've got a car and because I'm lame so having to pay to have it kept in a parking garage for $300 a month plus $500 for the car so i'm having to give up the bike. Bought from Morton's BMW in Fredericksburg, VA in 2007 with 8500 miles on it, has a total of 62,500 miles now. 75% of miles are highway miles commuting back and forth between New York City and Virginia. Always garaged, serviced by BMW of Manhattan and BMW of Fredericksburg, VA. All service records available upon request. Has scratches on saddlebags that are easily removed and has had a claim filed three years ago when it was blown over in a storm and had to have left side fairings and saddlebags replaced. Never been in a moving drop or in an accident. Bike is extremely comfortable to ride and chews through highway miles in absolute comfort. European Motorcycle Market Down 38% Since 2006
Wed, 25 Jan 2012New motorcycle registrations in Europe decreased 8.9% in 2011, reaching its lowest level in a decade. And with the state of the economy in Europe, things might get worse. According to provisional numbers released by the European Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers, Europeans registered 1.72 million motorcycles, scooters and mopeds in 2011, down from 1.89 million registrations in 2010.
New naked BMW spotted on track days
Sat, 03 Sep 2016The future generation of the "1-liter" naked BMW S1000R was spotted during the development tests on the territory of the German racing "ring" Oschersleben. Apparently, the Bavarian streetfighter will receive a number of technical solutions that his older brother, the BMW S1000RR, was endowed with a couple of years ago. Just as the current generation of the SR was created on the base of the previous SR-era, the 2017 modification will actually become a stripped version of today's sportbike.
2014 BMW NineT Spied – Lo Rider Concept Finally Coming to Life
Thu, 26 Sep 2013Germany’s Motorrad Magazin has uncovered new photos of an upcoming BMW motorcycle rumored to be called the NineT. We caught a glimpse of the boxer-engined roadster testing earlier this summer but the new pictures – snapped at a gas station in northern Italy – reveal three motorcycles that appear close to being ready for production. The name NineT recognizes the 90th year anniversary, and the new model references that history in its retro styling.
