BMW R-Series description

Great bike. 2005 R1200RT. Has 84,500 miles. 2 owners. Includes standard package, i.e., ABS, AM/FM, cruise control etc. but also has driver's backrest and forward pegs.  A few scratches as shown on pix from my one drop when the bike was not moving. Really not noticeable. Will deliver within 200 miles of Kansas City. Now remember, BMW's have a red "Brake Failure" light on when the bike starts and stays on until the brake sensor receives a message that the ABS system is engaged. By the time you put it in 1st and move, this goes out. Most bikes have some form of ABS activation light, but the BWM takes getting used to - about the first 5 starts, then you get used to it. It freaked some people out. The brakes work just like they should.

WSBK 2013: Phillip Island Race Report

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

Max Biaggi who? The Roman Emperor’s retirement after winning the 2012 World Superbike Championship marked the end of an era for Aprilia, with the 2013 campaign marking the first without Biaggi since the Italian manufacturer came back to the WSBK scene with the RSV4. If Aprilia misses its two-time WSBK Champion, it sure didn’t show it with a dominating display at the 2013 season opener in Australia.

Please BMW: don't build this

Wed, 05 Aug 2009

BMW have taken a rapid step in the right direction, what with their K1300S, S1000RR and F800R. Recently rumours have been flying around that BMW are to produce a scooter, possibly a hybrid. And while we know it's well within their means, we'd rather they concentrated on the sharpening the cutting edge of road bikes.
