For sale: 1971 BMW R60/5 with a custom scrambler/tracker style set up. Rebuilt Carbs, new tank rubber pads, new BMW badges, new chrome Biltwell tracker bars, Biltwell grips, polished triple tree and clamps, new Shinko trail tires (less than 10 miles on the tires), Great reliable bike. Tank is not perfect. Has one dent towards rider's crotch (pictured) and several paint chips that have been touched up. We opted not to repaint this bike as it is set up as a 50/50 bike and might be prone to scratches anyway. The transmission on this bike is a bit noisy but to be expected of an older model BMW. I would guess the transmission bearings will need to be replaced in the future. This however IS a daily driver ands never left me stranded. A great reliable bike. Capirex’s New Ride: the BMW M MotoGP Safety Car
Wed, 11 Apr 2012Retired racer Loris Capirossi has been named BMW M MotoGP Expert, representing the official MotoGP safety car provider in the world championship. Since retiring from racing after the 2011 MotoGP season Capirossi has been serving as MotoGP’s Safety Adviser. That, plus his familiarity with the MotoGP paddock and its racing circuits, makes him the logical choice as an ambassador for BMW M, the German manufacturer’s racing-performance subsidiary.
BMW “Persistent Erection” Lawsuit Dismissed
Tue, 18 Mar 2014The Superior Court of San Francisco has dismissed lawsuits against BMW and Corbin-Pacific Inc. brought on by a man who claimed a motorcycle ride gave him an erection that lasted for several months. The story made headlines and drew much ridicule after the man said vibrations from his 1993 BMW K1100RS and Corbin aftermarket seat resulted in a case of priapism, a condition in which a penis remains erect for a prolonged period of time.

More interesting than that are the laughable bike scenes, with Dhoom 3 featuring one chase scene between a K1300R and a S1000RR. In the first Dhoom film a Hayubasu magically transformed into 125cc bike for a train jump.
