Up for Sale is a 1961 BMW R27 250cc Motorcycle. Clear Title. 20,014 Miles. Matching Numbers # 375026. The Motorcycle has an older restoration ( 15 years ago). Not perfect, but very nice. It has a new battery, tank flushed, and new fuel line. Starts up, Runs good, No Smoke or leaks, shifts through the gears. All of the Electronics work. Front and rear brakes work as they should. The only thing the bike needs, to be driveable, is the driving plate in the Drive shaft, Previous one dry rotted out. Overall the paint is still very nice. No dents in the tank or fenders. Handlebars do show some pitting. Overall a very nice example of a 1961 BMW R27. . You receive what is pictured. Please see my other vintage motorcycles and parts. The motorcycle got into the lenses of spy cameras during tests in Germany. It is expected that the novelty will be equipped with a 300 cc single-cylinder power plant.
Charley Boorman Tours Canada for New Series
Wed, 08 Jun 2011Actor and adventure rider Charley Boorman is getting ready for another journey, this one taking him across the Great White North on a tour of Canada. Best known for his Long Way Round and Long Way Down documentaries with his friend and riding partner Ewan McGregor, Boorman is touring Canada for a new series called Extreme Frontiers: Canada for the U.K.’s Channel 5. BMW Motorrad Canada will provide Boorman with his ride, likely from its GS line.
BMW Reports Q2 2014 Financial Results
Tue, 05 Aug 2014BMW reported an 11.2% growth in motorcycle sales revenue for the second quarter ended June 30, 2014, thanks to a new best-ever quarterly record of 42,259 motorcycles sold. The record sales quarter also led to a record of 70,978 motorcycles sold in the first half of 2014, the most motorcycles BMW has sold in a six-month period in the company’s 90-year history in the business. The second quarter sales result represents a 5.1% increase on the 40,209 motorcycles sold in the same quarter last year.
