HELLA SPOTLIGHT SEARCH LAMP FOR PORSCHE 356 - VW BUS - BMW VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE

I am selling my personal "Perfect Condition" Hella Spotlight.  This one is the best of the collection. I was saving this for my next restoration, decided to let this go to another collector. I tested the light this morning and it works perfectly. These lights are great investments. The chrome is absolutely perfect, a solid 10. I took a lot of close up pictures to show you the pristine condition of this light, needs nothing, ready to mount. As you know these lights are not being reproduced, so there aren't many around. This will always be a good investment. I have a couple of these on my vintage BMW bikes, everyone comments on theses lights. I have a BMW catalog that shows these lights sold for about $25.00 about 50-60 years ago. I also have a "rare spotlight bracket" that I will be selling. I have been told this bracket mounts the spotlight on a vintage VW, Porsche or BMW sidecar. Take a look, I had a guy about 10 years ago offer me crazy money for this bracket. Thought I might use it someday. Decided to let it go. All of my sales on Ebay are vintage related and I have 100% positive feedback, so bid with confidence. I will be selling another Spotlight that needs some TLC, please look at my other items. I am also selling some very nice Dover White Craven Bags. Thanks and good luck! The ad is just for the Spot Light, not the bracket. It will be sold separately in another Ebay auction. I have purchased these lights before that needed a complete restoration. Most of this is pretty basic, with the exception of the chroming. It is almost impossible to find any decent chroming company that will do this because of the type metal that the Hella is made from. Then you will lay awake at night praying that the shop guys don't destroy the light during the cleaning and prep process. If they mess it up, they cannot replace the light. This is the reason you are much better off buying a light that is perfect to start with. It will save you a lot of money and stress. Thanks for looking!! Good luck

Around the world on a Multistrada

Tue, 07 Jun 2011

Ever since Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman rode their BMW’s around the world it seems anyone with a ‘GS’ has an open ticket to ride around the world and then write about it. And fair enough, if I could afford the bike and the trip then I’d be gone as well. Obviously, BMW reaped the rewards when Ewan and Charlie showcased what their GS could really do, changing BMW’s image from solid but stuffy, to solid and cool overnight.
