BMW Other tech info
BMW Other description
2014 BMW S1000R. I purchased this bike brand new (over $16k with tax) from an authorized dealer in Plano, TX. It has been a great bike and has never been raced, abused or put down...ever. It was been maintained to high standards and all maintenance records are available since maintenance was performed by the dealer. Both tires are in great shape; they were replaced at 6,000 miles. Factory options include Sport Package with gear shift assist, dynamic traction control and cruise control, and Dynamic Package with dynamic damping control, engine spoiler and heated grips. Also has CRG mirrors and Skene Design turn signals and running lights for added safety. Full disclosure: slight paint crack on small body panel near handlebars- again not from falling. Hard to notice. Not a dealer sale where you don't know the history. Buy with confidence. |

BMW Standardizes Switches
Thu, 23 Oct 2008Whenever you throw your leg over a bike that isn’t your own, there is always a few minutes needed to become familiar with the proportions and controls of the foreign machine. Getting a sense of the clutch release point, brake feel, throttle response and riding position may all differ from what you have been accustomed, but they slowly become second nature after enough seat time is logged. One such control that strays from this rule of thumb is the turn signal operation of many BMWs.
BMW S1000RR stars in new Black Eyed Peas video
Thu, 04 Mar 2010WE'RE NOT quite sure exactly what the Black Eyed Peas are trying to say in the video to their latest single 'Imma Be Rocking That Body' but they're cool enough to be using a BMW S1000RR superbike in the new film.Check out Fergie as she gyrates her stuff; from what we can gather she's going to be over there on the next left, rocking her body to a bass clef, while taking pictures with her crew and licking something at the same time. Does her Mum know she talks like that?
