BMW Other description

2013 Bmw R 1200 RT, 2013 BMW R 1200 RT - As far as two-cylinder fans are concerned, first-class touring has a memorable abbreviation - and it’s been around for 30 years: RT. For long-haul travelers there can hardly be any other term which has always stood for perfectly conceived motorcycling concept from start to finish: excellent wind and weather protection, optimum ergonomics, highly convenient operation combined with a top-class chassis fitted with the unique optional extras ASC and ESA II*. In the touring segment, these features probably define the ultimate benchmark of innovation. Even though the R 1200 RT cuts a superb figure everywhere with its dynamic new design, everything about it sends out the message: built to cover thousands of miles, preferably in one go. Then there is this fascinating mixture of distinctive engine and big bike dynamics. The characteristic “boxer” supremacy has been further enhanced in the current version: the engine’s crowning glory is now the radial DOHC** valve operating system from the HP2 Sport, though here designed for greater torque and without any loss of running smoothness: maximum torque 88 foot pounds at 6,000 rpm, rated output still at 110 horsepower. This means a tangible increase in thrust from the lower engine speed range through to above the medium range. The new valve control in the exhaust system ensures a discreet but more dynamic sound. And in terms of comfort, the bike boasts a new audio system available as an optional extra, with the innovative operating concept Multi-Controller carrying out virtually all commands from a single unit. So there’s only one thing you have to do yourself - drop by for a test ride. 3-Day no Questions Asked Money Back Guarantee on all Certified used motorcycles purchased! Click here to learn more! Winter weather but summer carries on.

Tue, 14 Jun 2011

Aye, it’s been a another good week in the world of Niall Mackenzie. My friends at Moto Direct sent me a new RST Pro Series suit to try out, I acquired some new rubber for my S10000RR and young Taylor Mac splashed home to 12th place on his Aprilia in the 125cc British Grand Prix. Being no fashion guru and pretty ancient now I’m satisfied the brightest suit I’ve ever climbed into looks the biz.

BMW Reports 2012 Sales Results

Tue, 19 Mar 2013

BMW released its year-end 2012 financial report, reporting revenues of 1.49 billion euros (US$1.93 billion) from its motorcycle business in 2012, up from 1.44 billion euros in 2011. The increased revenues came in a record year for BMW with the company selling an all-time record of 106,358 motorcycles in 2012. Despite the increase in sales revenue, BMW reported a much smaller profit from its motorcycle business, earning 9 million euros (US$11.6 million) in 2012, compared to 45 million euros in 2011.

BMW Motorrad has shown what can be built around the in-line "two" from the middle "goose" F850GS

Tue, 26 Jun 2018

The 9Cento is a sports tourer with crossover features, and its appearance evokes associations of Italian design. So, for example, the short sportbike tail unobtrusively resembles the upturned, stunningly beautiful stern of Ducati Panigale sportbikes. The motorcycle is built on the basis of an in-line two-cylinder engine from the BMW F850GS, and we would not completely rule out the possibility of such a handsome man appearing in the production program.
