BMW Other description
2004 BMW R1150RT, This is a great twin-spark R1150RT in Titan Silver with only 39,145 miles. After taking it on trade we performed a safety inspection and then completed a 36,000 mile service, installed a new BMW gel battery, replaced the left fork seal, replaced the pinion seals in the final drive and replaced the fast idle lever. This machine is in good condition with only minor blemishes due to use. There are no signs of abuse or damage from a crash or drop. In addition the bike is equipped with heated grips, ABS, fog lights, power windshield, dual horns, BMW topcase and Mayer rider seat. If you're looking for a well-serviced twin-spark R1150RT this one has to be considered. Call to reserve this machine. Hi-Def video of BMW S1000RR on the dyno
Mon, 15 Mar 2010THERE'S SOMETHING rather cruel about ringing the nuts out of any bike on a dyno - a bit like poking a lion through the bars of a cage with a long stick... Anyway, not quite sure where I'm going with that one, so here's a rather lovely clip of BMW's much-lauded S1000RR getting a stationary pasting on a dyno. Not sure I'd be standing at the rear, mind you.
BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates
Tue, 03 Jan 2012In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.
