The good : Aluminum hard bags with liners Tourtech Tank Bag Tourtech pegs and shift linkage Billet six front brake New Odyssey PC925L battery New Tourance tires Progressive rear shock Corbin (amp; stock) seats Did I mention it only has 22, zero miles? The bad : Light surface rust on spokes Small amount of light surface rust on muffler Left rear pushrod seal weeps when not ridden regularly Front driveshaft boot showing some surface cracks Heated handgrips not working Clock only right twice a day!!!!!!

BMW Warns of Potential Defect in 2014 R1200RT Suspension

BMW is issuing a warning to owners of the 2014 R1200RT with the Dynamic ESA option about a potential defect with the rear suspension. No formal recall has been announced at the moment; BMW is calling it a precautionary measure, though that may change in time or depending on the market. According to BMW, the piston rod of the rear spring strut could break.

2013 BMW F700GS and F800GS Announced

BMW has updated its F800GS and introduced the F700GS which replaces the F650GS for the German manufacturer’s 2013 lineup. The 2013 BMW F800GS slots in under the R1200GS as the company’s mid-displacement adventure tourer while the F700GS is an entry-level model to the segment. Despite the nomenclature, both models are equipped with liquid-cooled and fuel-injected four-valve 798cc twin-cylinder engines, just like the 650.

2014 BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy Announced

After holding three events in the southern hemisphere, the BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy will go north in September 2014, to Canada. Billed as the GS riders’ Olympics, the biennial competition pits teams representing different countries against one another in a number of challenges testing their riding skills. Previous competitions had competitors riding the F800GS but for 2014, the GS Trophy will switch to the liquid-cooled R1200GS.
