Aprilia RSV4 Factory description

2013 Aprilia RSV4 Factory APRC ABS SBK SE, Call Todd 8886346232 / Financing available / Trades welcomeFrom the time it appeared on the scene, it was clear to all its rivals that the Aprilia RSV4 was the bike to beat.Unmistakable in its design lucidity and applied technology, the RSV4 is conceived around a 65 degree V4 engine never before seen on a factory sport bike, a frame which is the heir to a dynasty that has won 18 titles and 143 Grand Prix races in the 250 GP class, enhanced by the most advanced applied electronics systems to manage the engine and the bike's dynamic performance. This is a true vocation of Aprilia, which was the first manufacturer to adopt the Ride By Wire system as standard equipment (the multi-map power management system), but above all the first to patent the APRC dynamic control system, still today the only one with the exclusive self-calibration and wheelie control features. This technological first is consolidated today with the MY2013 range: Aprilia RSV4 R ABS and Factory ABS are the models which, for the quantity and quality of new content and improvements, undoubtedly represent the most important advancements ever made on this extraordinary model.Available spring 2013

Aprilia Reportedly Developing 250cc Sportbike

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

For a company with such a rich history in motorcycle racing including nine World Championships in the 250cc Grand Prix category, it comes as a bit of a surprise Aprilia does not already have a 250cc sportbike in production. From 1994 to 2007, Aprilia won nine 250cc Grand Prix championships with an impressive roster of riders which includes Valentino Rossi, Max Biaggi, Jorge Lorenzo, Loris Capirossi and Marco Melandri winning titles. Despite making a name for itself racing in the 250cc class, Aprilia does not have a 250cc production sportbike to compete against the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja 250 (and its replacement, the Ninja 300) or the Honda CBR250R.

Our Magnificent seven

Wed, 16 Feb 2011

Remember to dust your Union Jacks down if you happen to be visiting any Grand Prix this year as we have no less than seven youngsters to cheer on in the junior Moto GP classes. I don’t think we’ve ever had this many ‘yoofs’ in the GP paddock so let’s hope they can do the business and bring an end to our long drought of Grand Prix titles. And that could be soon as Scott Redding is already a hot favourite for the 2011 Moto 2 championship on his Marc VDS Suter machine.

Wed, 14 Mar 2012

Piaggio announced it is opening a new design center in Pasadena, Calif., to be headed by Aprilia RSV4 designer Miguel Galluzzi. Roberto Colaninno, chairman and chief executive officer of  the Piaggio Group, announced plans for the new Advanced Design Center at a dealer convention for the Piaggio Group Americas in Miami, Fla. At the moment, North American customers usually have to wait a little longer before they receive new Piaggio models, with most models arriving on these shores months after they are available in Europe.
