Aprilia RS250 description

Up for sale is my 1999 Aprilia RS250 cup bike. I bought this bike 6 years ago with the intention of building the lightest best handling RS250  I started with improving the suspension with Olhins internals in the forks, Olhins steering damper and Panske rear shock. The front brakes were improved with full floating front disks and Brembo radial mount master cylinder, and stainless steel break lines. Included with the bike is a Jollymoto exhaust system with a spear set of expansion chambers. The engine compartment was cleaned up. The oil injection power valves and charging system were eliminated. Included with the bike is an engine side cover with the charging system intact. I take two charged batteries for a track day and I never had a problem. The power valves are a good thing for the street, but for the track they are just a reliability and maintenance problem. The engine has no track time on it since a complete rebuilt. Suzuki advanced power control system, Flow commander, c/f seat, Woodcraft rear sets, are all included with the bike. Any questions please call 917-650-1867

AMA Pro Racing Announces Basic Twins Flat Track Class for 2014 Season

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

AMA Pro Racing announced a new class for Flat Track racing designed to provide a new stepping stone for up-and-coming Pro-licensed racers, replacing the Pro Singles class in 2014. The new class, to be called Basic Twins, is more or less a revival of the Basic Expert Twins division that ran during the 2007 and 2008 seasons, but dropped when the Pro Singles class was introduced for 2009. The new class will give young racers a chance to showcase their skills on Twins, easing their transition to eventually enter the Grand National Expert Twins class.

WSBK: 2012 Magny-Cours Results – Championship Decided by Half a Point

Tue, 09 Oct 2012

You would think carrying a 30.5 point lead into the final round of the 2012 World Superbike Championship would be a safe enough margin to win the title. Aprilia‘s Max Biaggi made it interesting, inexplicably crashing out of the first race at the finale in Magny-C0urs before scoring a fifth place finish in Race Two to give him a 0.5 point margin over Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes to win the title. The 358 to 357.5 point difference is the narrowest finish ever in WSBK.
