Aprilia SRV850 Maxi-Scooter Gets Optional ABS and Traction Control

Aprilia announced it will produce a new version of the SRV850 maxi-scooter with an anti-lock braking system and traction control. The Aprilia SRV850 ABS/ATC is the latest scooter from the Piaggio Group to include both technologies, following the Piaggio BV350 and the Piaggio X10. The Aprilia SRV850 uses a sensors located in both wheels.

Aprilia Caponord Demo Tour To Reach 43 Cities

Aprilia has announced a coast-to-coast tour to showcase the capabilities of the new Caponord 1200 ABS Travel Pack. Beginning this Thursday, May 22, and running through through July 5, at one of Aprilia USA’s 43 participating dealerships, licensed riders can throw a leg over the Caponord and experience all that Aprilia’s latest adventure-tourer has to offer. The tour kicks off its west coast leg at GP Bikes in San Diego, CA and east coast leg in Belleville, New Jersey at Motorcycle Mall. Guintoli/Aprilia Appeal Denied, WSBK Monza Results Stand

International Motorcycling Federation officials have rejected an appeal from Aprilia and rider Sylvain Guintoli over the controversial finish to the second race of the Monza round of the 2013 World Superbike Championship. The official race finish for Race 2 at Monza stands, with Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes in third place and Guintoli fourth. More importantly, Sykes hangs on to the 16 championship points he was awarded for the finish while Guintoli receives 13 for finishing fourth.
